Lori Hobkirk works as a freelance book producer and editor. She received a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Colorado (Boulder) and an M.A. in Rhetoric and the Teaching of Writing from the University of Colorado (Denver). A long time ago, she was enrolled in Naropa's MFA in Writing and Poetics program but left when an editorial positioned opened up at VeloNews magazine, which eventually led to a managing editor position at VeloPress. She worked with the Velo family of publications for eleven years. She lives in North Boulder with her husband and son and three chickens.
