Boulder Man Aging in Place at Vic’s

By

Long-time Boulder resident Steve Bennington has decided to age in place, specifically at Vic’s coffee shop in north Boulder. “I’ve thought this through carefully and I have every intention of living out my senior years right here, in a chair on the sidewalk on sunny days, and inside, next to the window on cold days.”

The management is okay with it, with some reservations: “He needs to stop yelling at the kids to get off the sidewalk.”

Bennington is just keeping up the family tradition, “My father aged in place at Dot’s Diner, and he came to be known as ‘that old guy on the corner.’ That’s my goal.”

Bennington’s nephew can be found at the Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble bookstore.
