About the author:

“Live to eat, not eat to live” has always been a credo for Dea Sloan, but over the past few years her passion for food has extended beyond the grocery store and farmers' market back to the farming and agriculture system that produces our food.  She’s learned a lot along the way, especially over the past few months as a member of the Boulder County Cropland Policy Advisory Group.  Most of all she’s learned to be grateful for the hard work and dedication of the family farmers that are behind nearly every bite we take.
