Boards and Commissions Appointments

By

Boulder City Council and officers, 1918 (Carnegie Library)

In a special meeting December 2, 2010 the Boulder City Council appointed members to fill vacancies on three city commissions: the Beverages Licensing Authority (BLA), the Board of Zoning Adjustment (BOZA), and the Library Commission.

  • The single applicant for the BLA, Richard Tucker, was appointed by acclamation to the term which expires in March 2013.  There was no Council discussion.
  • Of the two applicants for BOZA, March Gelband and Jack Rudd, Jack Rudd was nominated and appointed by acclamation to the term which expires in 2012.  There was no Council discussion.
  • Of the five applicants for the Library Commission, Aaron Brockett, Celeste Landry, Anna Lull, Donna O’Brien, and Virginia Zukowski, two, Celeste Landry and Donna O’Brien, were nominated.  After a bit of discussion, in which Council members remarked on the high number of very qualified applicants, Celeste Landry was appointed in a 5-4 vote.  That term will expire in March of 2014.
